As artists, sales can be intimidating, overwhelming, and even painful! We cringe when we think about having to be “salespeople.” The reality is, that while photography may be our passion, if we don’t make money doing it, then it is just a hobby. This session gives practical help and best practices, helping you develop a sales process. Jason will discuss pricing, the client experience, and problem solving, and how they translate into your photography business.
The short version of the story is this: after a career in marketing and sales management with a Fortune 100 company (FedEx), I became relentlessly drawn to the ability to impact people’s lives through photography. So I quit my job to start my own business around this photography thing I do.
My work has been featured in regional and national publications including The KNOT, Brides, and Michigan Brides.
In addition, I am a frequent educator and speaker on the Business of Photography. My book: Starting Out Right, has become one of the most valuable resources on the business of photography.
